ELSENHAM, ESSEX. Residents’ concerns about the continued operation of the New Farm car park dominated Elsenham Parish Council’s meeting at the Memorial Hall on Monday, 6 July, with councillors outlining the action they say has already been taken while acknowledging frustration over delays in the planning process.
North West Essex MP Kemi Badenoch has said she has written urgently to Uttlesford District Council, a Government minister and London Stansted Airport after receiving further information from residents about the unauthorised airport parking operation at New Farm in Elsenham.
Housing Secretary Steve Reed has confirmed that he will launch a public inquiry into Uttlesford District Council’s decision to refuse planning applications for two residential developments in Stansted Mountfitchet and Birchanger. The inquiry follows the council’s rejection of proposals from developer City & Country for a total of 480 new homes, despite recommendations for approval from the authority’s own planning officers.
ELSENHAM, ESSEX — A retrospective planning application for a six-pitch traveller site on land east of Springfield House on Henham Road is under consideration by Uttlesford District Council, following a series of earlier approved developments on the same site.
